Welcome to the Annotated Crumbs #6, I'm your host KevinG. Drawn concurrently with Crumbs 5 and an additional book (Simian Vs. Automaton #1), all three were released at APOCAPARTYII. I'm going to be frank with you, I don't even know who is reading these annotations, but I hope anyone who is doesn't mind a little "gettin' to know ya". This was finished during a long hiatus from the one real job I had at that point, working at Hewlett Packard as a contractor. They had some regulation that contractors couldn't work so many concurrent years so they laid me off. This caused lots of trouble in my home and economic life obviously. I tried to stay sane by producing 3 different comics, and some of it was unfortunately a bit rushed, though I am still happy with it. But there was a lot of strife with my Ex as I surfered those months, not finding anything better, and then ending up working for less money and less hours once again at Hewlett Packard. It was a life saver and a soul taker all in one. Meanwhile, finishing the first major Arc of Crumbs felt hollower than I expected, even as the art was almost coming together (it was a huge milestone that I felt I was pushing for while I couldn't generate it to the level I wanted to be at, mentally or physically). There would be another big hiatus as life took huge upheavals before Crumbs 7 came out, and even more for 8 (and even MORE MORE for 9). New job, broken romantic life, growing up into my 30s. Crumbs has come along with me and hopefully you dear reader are interested in where it (and I) go. Here's what I had to say about this book in the official guide: "The battle rages, survivors and Thumpers alike dying senselessly. Chuck has no memory of killing the former US President in cold blood. Without their leader, the troops become more demoralized, however a 6 story tall Robot named Tinman is unstoppable. Chuck and crew find a secret weapon, and Anti-Matter Rail gun, in the president's tent, and using it ends the battle by destroying Tinman, but it also causes Chuck to lose his left arm. In a coma for an indeterminate amount of time, Chuck awakes to find a religion and a city have grown up around him, in his honor. He welcomes them, telling them his is Jesus." Christ! That's a lot of spoilers! Welp, time to think about other things, this was the end of the beginning and the beginning of the end, and as Revelations in the bibile says: "Beware Thou The Cookie Crumbling"! -3/6/2020
